Ella Borrie

Pillow Talk

Your nose is a spur.
The path down
from sidled, uncertain
Breath a trickle,
two streams
threading the valley floor.

BreakUp Haiku

susurrus of limbs
blanketed before the day
embed each other

evening hits hill
golden light floods horizon
a blink drains ridge dark

blossoms blow away
emptied branch soon to be green
sways with moving sky

Ella Borrie recently completed a Law and English degree at the University of Otago. She is very new to Wellington and spends her time trawling TradeMe for a suitable bed frame. She was the co-editor of Antics 2015 and her work appears in Mimicry.
